Volunteering

Warrnambool & District Foodshare enjoys support from many quarters.

Regular weekly volunteers receive initial training in Workplace Safety and Food Handling as part of their orientation to our busy warehouse. New volunteers always enjoy a “come and try” session to understand the way we work to prepare food hampers for our many agencies.

We enjoy lots of enquiries and offers of help and are always happy to record a name and phone number because the landscape of volunteers constantly changes. We keep a list of interested people such is the level of interest.

Last year our volunteers gave over 3000 hours of time to help run our service.
